August 2008. Matt recently accepted the position of Worship and Music Coordinator at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Forest Lake, MN. His responsibilities will include overseeing 5 services a weekend between Hosanna's Forest Lake and Hugo campuses. This includes coordinating musicians, planning each of the services, making bulletins and powerpoints, and being a musician at various services each weekend. September 2008. This fall marked Matt's first semester of a Masters Program at the University of Minnesota -Twin Cities Campus. He entered the Collaborative Piano Program there and is studying under the guidance of Timothy Lovelace and Noriko Kawaii. This program focuses on aspects of what it means to be a collaborative pianist - not just an accompanist. That includes classes in diction in different languages, weekly lessons and rehearsals with singers and instrumentalists, and musical seminars. The program last two years.
